played and supported by luke slater, dvs1, laurent garnier, adam x, marcel fengler, samuli kemppi, inigo kennedy, jeroen search, truncate and more. asr is a record label with a strong inspiration in cosmology, physics and science fiction. with one foot in detroit and one in birmingham, asr is getting the techno in its original form beyond fads. we are believers in the true conception of electronic music as artistic expression and as message. our first release is also the first volume of the series vla, named in honor of the radio telescopes system in the very large array of new mexico (usa). radio transmission true to the sound of detroit and influenced by idm and the birmingham scene, radio trasmission presents a crude and analog sound, sometimes simple and sometimes twisted, synthesizing unconventional elements of the dancefloor with complex sounds and structures. the first track,grote reber, works around the omnipresent tr909 and the classic dx100 solid bass sound, building a powerful and effective track. in interferometry, a heavy and deep sub bass, leads the track around dub and post industrial ways. cyg x-1, is the only track that isnt 4x4, with noisy and punchy stabs all around, this works perfectly late in the night and in more uncommon sessions. the last track,vla is more melodic and relaxed. it is the perfect end for the whole record.

bokhari records is a vinyl only label. bokhari has been inspired by mo wax of old, and firecracker of present where care was/is also taken on packaging and design. each release will feature a different illustrator / artist for the design. musically we will aim to stick loosely within the realms of house and techno, but often with our own slant on it, and as the first release shows, in this case will include some afro percussion and a touch of acid. bokhari 001 only 300 copies will be pressed. artwork for release 001 is by the excellent illustrator andy potts (former head of design at abbey road studios), and every single vinyl will be signed and numbered. remix comes from the ever consistent mark e, who has taken the shrunken head bassline and made a 10 minute druggy, chuggy, loopy, creepy monster (and anything else you want with a ‘y’ at the end!)

the rebirth of cool m=minimal is pleased to release a masterpiece of the early 21st century on vinyl. till the old worlds blown up and a new one is created is an outstanding work of reductionism and minimalism. martin brandlmyar ( radian / trapist / kapitalband 1 ), werner dafeldecker ( polwechsel, david sylvian, autistic daughters) and christian fennesz ( touch / mego / thrill jockey ) on this record created a new kind of cool jazz coupled with a big portion of new york school ( cage, feldman, brown und wolff). its hard to describe the music with words. this work reveals his secrets only after listening to it a couple of times. it grows with each time you listen to it. in this work, silence and noise are never used as an end in itself. as equal parameters they stand in the composition that also has space for some tonal >flower<. our recommended listening time is – round about midnight.

after the successfully aras startup from the label owners andre galluzzi and dana ruh we are now presenting a hot follow-up from our friend, well known hessian johannes heil. the a side consciousness is a massive 12 minute dancefloor killer starting with a nice synth loop and some heavy kicks. after nearly a half the track turns from a warm hypnotic break into a real peaktime monster. b side track pure starts a little bit deeper with sounds that let us yearn for the sun. a very nice package for the summer.

bimas is a perfect proof that fresh and highly effective club music doesnt need much more than a free, creative approach and a good sense for igniting grooves. his desolat x debut comes strong with a versatile three-tracker, consisting of the rough-edged primetime tool never say goodbye, the charming groover post the music - both highlights in loco dice sets of the past months - as well as the tribalistic pain of our life. ex-phonica member hector, who caused some serious euphoria on house floors worldwide with his latest productions on saved, mobilee, nrk, tsuba and 2020vision, rounds the ep with a remix, stripping down pain of our life and giving it a moody and hypnotic outfit.

ilario alicante might well be best known for his previous releases on big room labels cocoon and cecille but preconceptions can be misleading. here on sudden drop we plough a deeper furrow, not ones for hands up in the air shenanigans we prefer to get our heads down on the dancefloor for some serious introspection, which is why this 3 tracker from the italian born ilario finds its way onto our label. echotechno is indeed a main room slice of stomping techno but with that oh so important moody vibe that we crave here at sd,rouge dub on the flip delves deeper with an exceedingly trippy soundscape whilst untitled drop rounds things off with a spritely techno groove.

from the beginning of bristol archive records involvement in documenting bristols neglected reggae heritage we have wanted to release an album that showcases the great talent of one of the local reggae scenes mainstays, joshua moses.
unfortunately, joshua has no copies of the many recording sessions he has done in the years since his first session in 1978, and so it has taken more than eighteen months of painstaking research and the pursuit of numerous leads to gather together the fifteen tracks on >joshua to jashwha - 30 years in the wilderness<. the result is more than worth any effort involved on our part and is as strong a debut album as anyone could wish for, guaranteed to create a buzz among reggae fans worldwide.
